2008 Festival ReportPosted on March 24, 2008
Well, we did it. Another year over, and this one better than the first. We saw better weather, bigger crowds, more bands, and greater blessings! This was the first year that we have added Sponsors, and God showed up in a big way. Thanks to them (listed below) we were able to host 14 great bands, all who came and sang their hearts out to the Lord. We had a State Sponsored Softball Tournament going on in the ball-fields surrounding the pavilion, so we were able to reach a secular crowd with songs glorifying Jesus! We were also able to raise money for The River of Hope, an organization dedicated to helping the less fortunate in our surrounding communities. The day did not go off without a hitch, however. It was HOT! (How hot was it, you ask?) We actually had a band member faint from the heat, and he had to be taken to the hospital where it was found that he may have had a "pre" Heart Attack. Please continue to pray for his (Kim's) health. Thank you to all of our Sponsors, Volunteers, Bands, Vendors and visitors, who helped make this year a success. Now, on to planning for next year!!
